Despite supporting Orlando Pirates, an Ekasi soccer star is dreaming of joining their rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandilla star Xolani Nkala is dreaming of a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Better known as ‘Blackberry’, Nkala is playing in the professional ranks for the first this season.
He joined the Limpopo based Motsepe Foundation Championship side TTM at the beginning of the season.
This came after impressing in the DStv eKasi Champ of Champs for his side AT Mambas.
While his tricks and flicks may be rather unorthodox, he still aims to go the full way as a professional footballer.
Despite supporting Orlando Pirates, ‘Blackberry’ is hoping to Don the Black and Gold of Kaizer Chiefs.
During a recent interview with SuperSport TV, Blackberry confirmed his ambitions to one day join Kaizer Chiefs.
“My inspiration is to find myself playing in the Dstv Premiership. Promoted with TTM and to also show everyone that it’s possible to make it professionally even if you come from playing street football” – Blackberry said.
“I like ‘Love and Peace’. I love the Amakhosi. I am a person who grew up supporting Orlando Pirates, but I enjoy Kaizer Chiefs’ style of play. I wish that I end up playing for them.”
The DStv Premiership goes on a two-month long Fifa World Cup break but when will Kaizer Chiefs be in action again?
The Amakhosi closed the first half of the season out on a high note after defeating arch rivals Orlando Pirates last weekend.
While this break may disrupt Arthur Zwane’s surge up the DStv Premiership log standings, there are still two fixtures to look forward to before the DStv Premiership returns!
Kaizer Chiefs were selected, by fans, to participate in the upcoming Carling Black Label Cup which takes place on 12 November 2022.
Chiefs face rivals Orlando Pirates in their semi-final while Mamelodi Sundowns face AmaZulu in the other semi at the FNB Stadium.
There’s also either a potential final or third place playoff looming for all four teams.
