Watch| On duty female SAPS shot dead in Johannesburg
The men and women in blue are hated within the communities of South Africa, some people when they see the members of the South African Police Services they see their enemies, they just hate these people who are there to serve and protect them, one wonders why is it that the people who are to protect us turned into being our enemies, instead of appreciating them, people kills them.
A disheartening incident happened in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon and a female police officer was shot dead in that incident according to media reports.
According to Keep the Energy, Sergeant Sharon Mogale who was on duty and in full force uniform was reportedly attacked by gunmen together with her partner, they had their service pistol taken away and Sharon was gunned down after her gun was taken away from her, she was reportedly shot in the head and died. Her partner was lucky to have escaped without getting harmed.
It is not known what was the motive behind the attacking and the killing of the officer, particularly the one who was a female, investigations are under way to determine what was the motive behind the attacking and the killing of the police officer.
Maybe she was killed by some of the criminals she once arrested and put away, now they are out and have decided to make her pay with her life for arresting them, those are some of the risks that comes with being a police officer, while doing your job, you make more enemies than friends, some criminals would stop at nothing in making sure that they get a revenge of some sort if they get arrested.
A case of gender based violence can not be written off in this case, women are getting murdered brutally these days and they are in many cases killed by the people they love.
