This is heartless as hell. One of the country’s oldest women has been forced to leave her home in Meadowlands, Gauteng, after being evicted on Wednesday. The incident has sparked outrage on social media.
Kenaope Mosidi, who requires a Zimmer Frame to walk and has extremely limited mobility, was a resident of the house, along with some of her grandchildren. However, a dispute over who owns the property has been brewing for several months.

A man named Joel Moalusi (pictured in a red t-shirt) has claimed that he purchased the house legally after agreeing to pay R350 000 to one of the granddaughters.
According to Red Beret officials, the house was sold ‘fraudulently.’ They claim that these shady transactions are the work of ‘criminal syndicates.’ Nonetheless, Moalusi remains firm in his convictions and insists that he negotiated good faith.

Aside from the accusations, many online commenters have inquired about the status of the title deeds. There are also concerns about the relative who accepted the six-figure payment. Finally, armed with an eviction notice, the buyer believes he has done nothing wrong.
Whatever the circumstances, nothing is more heartbreaking than seeing an elderly woman shuffle out of the house she has called home for decades because she has been evicted. It’s also heartbreaking that a more amicable solution could not be reached.
