Supporters turn this into a motivator
In 2016, The Nasty Movement emerged as a political response to an insulting comment about then-US Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.
Her opponent had referred to her as “that nasty woman,” but her supporters turned it into a motivator.

A group of women believed that it sometimes takes being mean to effect change, leading to the launch of a grassroots feminist movement.
Today, Be Nasty Day encourages both men and women to stand up for their beliefs, even if it means being a bit mean.
