The former Durban councelor who called President Cyril Ramaphosa with the K- word has died. The Kessie Nair became famous on a video he did on facebook calling President Ramaphosa with a bad name of rascim.
Nair has been charged with multiple counts of crimen injuria and two of incitement of public violence. On these charges he was denied bail. The cause of his death is confirmed on Monday that he died of heart failure.
Kessie Nair got arrested in September 2018 when he called President Cyril with the K-word on a video he made which went viral on social media. Good news are that the charges were dropped in 2019.
Nair had multiple denied bails, on the first one Magistrate Ncumisa Ncolothela said Kessie didn’t provide with an alternative address which he only gave the address of his brother who distanced himself from him.
In December 2018, after three months of jail, he was released with a bail of R2500. Gounden told the media that his client’s charges were dropped by Verulam Magistrate’s court.
For Kessie to be released on bail, his lawyer took it to Durban high court for appeal. He added that it was for the first time a person being denied a bail with crime of crimen injuria.
The man now who called President Cyril Ramaphosa with a K-word is dead due heart failure on Monday 2020.
