Magpies show strong interest in Gravenberch
Rudy Galetti (via GiveMeSport): Newcastle are one of the clubs that have shown “the greatest interest” in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Transfer insider Galetti told GiveMeSport: “Newcastle are also still looking for a new midfielder and are one of the clubs that have shown the greatest interest in him so far. Anyway, any negotiation for Gravenberch, for sure, will take time, and it won’t be that fast.”
The 21-year-old joined the Bundesliga champions last summer from Ajax in a deal worth £16m but has struggled to break into the first XI, making just three league starts.
Liverpool were reportedly looking to sign Gravenberch earlier in the window, but quotes from the Netherlands international surfaced that indicated his desire to remain in Germany, which may have turned the Reds’ focus onto other targets.
“I’m at a top-three club in the world. I find that beautiful and special. I won’t give that up just like that. My goal is still to succeed at Bayern,” he said.
Newcastle may encounter a similar stance from the talented youngster, who could reject any forthcoming proposal from the Magpies anyhow.
Newcastle closely monitor Boey
Aksam: Newcastle are closely following Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey.
The Champions League new boys, however, could face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, who are both being credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.
The Turkish giants are keen to keep hold of Boey, who played a key role in their Süper Lig title triumph last term, making 31 appearances and registering five goal contributions.
With a deal for £40m-rated Southampton full-back Tino Livramento still in the works, the Tyneside club could turn to Boey as a cheaper alternative as they look to provide depth and competition for Kieran Trippier, ahead of their more congested fixture list next season.

Newcastle eyeing up move for Lewis Hall
NUFC BLOG: The Magpies are eyeing up a move for Chelsea left-back Lewis Hall.
It is understood that Eddie Howe is a big admirer of the 18-year-old, and with Newcastle in search of a left-back, a move for the defender could be likely.
The Magpies had already expressed their interest in signing a left-back earlier in the summer when it was reported that they were in negotiations with Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.
However, that rumour has since quietened down, with the Gunners reportedly wanting the Scotland international to stay at the club.
It is believed Chelsea are reluctant to sell the youngster due to the abundance of talent he already has, especially to a top-six rival.
However, it has been reported that they may be open to loaning the player out – yet it is thought that Newcastle would only capitalise on that if there was an obligation to buy, with Howe reinforcing that they may have to be “creative” in the transfer market due to Financial Fair Play.
Disasi agrees terms
Foot Mercato: AS Monaco star Axel Disasi now seemingly looks likely to move to Newcastle this summer after agreeing terms with the club.
The 25-year-old – highly sought-after this summer – is happy to make the move and will now wait on his current employers to sanction the switch.
That seems to be the biggest part of this one. Newcastle haven’t actually agreed to any terms with Monaco over a transfer. Without that, any agreement with Disasi counts for little.
Fabrizio Romano has reassured that despite many believing this rumour was solely agent-led, Newcastle have indeed held talks with the Frenchman.
However, the Magpies aren’t the only club interested, with Man Utd also being in contact with the centre-back’s representatives.
It is believed that Howe’s men are in the market for a young, right-sided centre-back to act as an understudy to Fabian Schar, who is now 31 years old.
Additionally, Newcastle will need to strengthen their overall squad depth as they will be involved in the Champions League this season for the first time in over 20 years.
