Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe has broken his silence after he was confirmed as one of four players who will depart the club.
Sithebe, 31, arrived at Naturena in July 2022, joining the club as a free agent from AmaZulu.
However, he’s somewhat failed to reach the expectations at Chiefs, despite featuring in 39 games across two seasons.
On Tuesday, Sithebe was one of three players who were told their contract with Amakhosi will not be extended – along with Keagan Dolly and S’fiso Hlanti, as first reported by SABC Sport.
Njabulo Ngcobo is the fourth player to depart Naturena when his deal expires, but he has already secured a move to Sekhukhune United.
While the club are yet to make official announcements, Sithebe took to Instagram to confirm his exit.
“I’m giving thanks to the Khosi nation for the time I got playing for them, my hands are above my head,” he stated.
“Wish you the best season and in future.”
This past season, Sithebe featured just 11 times for Amakhosi, starting 10 of those games.
