Prayer tribute to be paid for Dumi Mkokstad after suffering from depression
Dumi Mkokstad is a 29-year-old South African award-winning Gospel artist, born in 1992 in Pietermaritzburg South Africa. He won an award for best traditional Faith Music Album. One of their best albums is Ziphozenkosi, which was named after his wife Ziphozenkosi Mthembu who has been married to her for almost 2 years and they have an 8-year-old daughter together named Likuwe Mkokstad.
People go through a lot in life and it becomes painful when you can’t even share the pain you’re going through because you are scared to be judge, more especially if you a public figure it’s not easy for one to open up about things that are eating them inside, but they normally hint instead of talking.
Dumi Mkokstad left people in tears with his recent post because of what he shared, it seemed like a lot of people related to his post thought he didn’t say much but you can see by that post that something is not right. Below is what Dumi shared that brought people to tears.
Though Dumi didn’t say much in his post but is known that marriage can be stressful, even the entertainment industry can be toxic and depressing at times and I’ve seen some artists who died of depression, like the late HHP who allegedly committed suicide after he revealed back in 2016 in an interview that his battle with depression due to his faltering career.
Yes depression is real but people can be helped if they only choose to speak about it, Dumi might have not said much but his post helped people to open up and talk about their painful experience, there’s this thing about black people not believing that depression does exist and it kills, there are people out there who are suffering because of depression but are scared to open up as they don’t want to be the judge.
This is the reason why people turn to alcohol and drug abuse or even kill themselves as they are scared to talk, so all those things help them to forget their problems, which is wrong because those things require money, the money of which they don’t probably have that’s why it leads them to kill themselves. After all, they will have nothing to feed their depression with.
