After months failing to provide evidence at the Zondo commission, he will be held contempt of court should he disobey the ruling of the hight court.
There are possibilities that former president Jacob Zuma will appear at. The state capture commission in February as earlier summoned after the constitutional court order him to give evidence at the inquiry.
Jacob Zuma did not make an appearance in several occasions in the Zondo commission even if he was told to do so. He explains that the judicial inquiry was biased against him.
It’s now a high time for Zuma to appear before the commission as now he has no space in his room but to answer all questions to Zondo.
Section 3 subsection 4 of the Commission’s Act extends him the privilege not to answer self-incriminating questions, he chooses to do so then he will be have to explain why he is choosing this option.
“It is ironic that the directives were issued in terms of regulations made by the former president himself. It is, therefore, unacceptable that he is the one who frustrates its investigation.” said Justice Chris Jafta.
