Heavy rains in Limpopo are damaging the whole infrastructure making the government to have a lot in the plate to fix.
It is that time of the year and season where South Africa is in rainy season. Ever since the beginning of the year, it has been raining all the way.
Limpopo is one of the provinces that have been affected more in the country. It is well known that provinces like KwaZulu-Natal is also a place that has such problems.
The weather service said that residents in the affected areas can expect heavy rainfall, localised flooding of formal and informal roads or settlements, low-lying areas and bridges and difficult driving conditions.
This is sad to see Limpopo is facing this heavy rains while on the other hand they still fear to contract Covid-19. Jobs are lost and it will be difficult for them to buy building materials to fix the damaged houses if any.
Weather Service asked parents to keep school children at home until the storm weather for safety purposes. Some parts in Limpopo have been reported flooding and damage to municipal infustructures.
