A liver is an organ that is responsible for many things in the body including to cleanse the blood. The liver is also responsible for protein production, digestive of fat and metabolism. Other bodily functions includes carbohydrates.
Eating too much of junk food, drinking lot of alcohol and fried foods can put the liver under pressure and makes it to have overload of things. Sometimes you may choose to eat junk food and fried food few times a week but still like that you still need to detoxify your liver.
Natural beverages to cleanse your liver
- Mint tea
Use 2 leaves of peppermint and boil only for two cups and drink when it’s cool to drink. The menthol and menthone in pepper mint will not only help you to breath easily but also performing the function of detox.
- Turmeric tea
This is a powerful tea to detox the liver, it has been used for many centuries now. Boil water, take a pinch of turmeric and add honey then drink every night.
- Ginger and lemon tea
These are anti-inflammatory ingredients good for overall health. Drink this tea 15 minutes before bed time. Just boil water, add slice of ginger and lemon in a cup then drink before bedtime.
- Chamomile tea
This does not help with good sleep and stress as a reliever, it also helps to detoxify the liver and help to control the nervous system of the inflamed tissues.
- Oatmeal and cinnamon
High fiber, minerals and vitamins found on these two ingredients helps to cleanse intestines, liver and help digestive system. Soak two tablespoon of organic oasts for 2-3 hours and later strain the oats then add one teaspoon of cinnamon, remember to add water and then drink.
