The Carling All Stars are set to split their winnings from the Carling Cup while captain Itumeleng Khune walks away with R185,000 in total.
With the All Stars squad and technical team comprising of 33 members, the R2-million in prize money stands at R60,000 each, while Stellenbosch players and staff walk away with R30,000 each.
Added to that, the Fak’ iGoal Uzobona competition, in which Mfundo Vilakazi’s fourth-minute strike secured a pool of R894,000 saw them split a further R25,000 each.
Khune, as Man of the Match secured an additional R100,000 for his efforts as the latest version of the Carling Cup produced a spetacle for those out at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Overall, the 2023/24 Carling competitions had a prize pool amount of over R16-million for the participating clubs, excluding the money given out to the Man of the Match winners, who each received R100,000, with Iqraam Rayners walking away with R400,000 for four Man of the Match awards.
