He is one of the Gomora cast members who keep us glued on television for his looks and craft perfection. Sdumo’s looks earned a lot of crushes amongst Gomora fans, and many thronged social media looking for his real name and checking for his marital status. According to his official Facebook profile, Siyabonga is taken and happily married; try next time, ladies.
Sdumo on Gomora’s age
On Gomora, the Sdumo character is a gangster who befriends Brains and sells his soul to the car hijacking syndicates. Having worked for Don Buthelezi, Sdumo was sent to instil fear in Don’s own family, a mission that ended in tragedy after he shot Ntokozo. Sdumo and Brains have a cat and mouse relationship with MaSonto’s hijacking syndicate; Don’s death exposes their camp to hostile takeovers.
Born in 1984, Tembisa, Joburg, Siyabonga Zubane is not a young boy anymore; he is qualified with a degree in Arts and Theatre productions from Tshwane University of Technology. He aspires to land a role on international film productions, mainly gangster roles he perfected over the years. Inspired by Warren Masemola, Vuyo Dabula, the late Menzi Ngubane and Israel Matseke Zulu, Sdumo is grateful for working alongside one of his idols on Gomora.
“When Gomora come knocking, it was an opportunity I couldn’t decline; I have managed to work with the best, ma Connie Chiume, Zolisa and grootman Matseke Zulu. We need more of these productions to give emerging talent a chance.”
