Since 23 March 2020 South Africa saw itself in unexpected lockdown everybody didn’t know, not familiar or experienced. It’s was set to end by 21 April 2020 but it didn’t end because cases of Covid-19 were increasing.
President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that from 1 May 2020 there will be a gradual and phased easing of restrictions. The country saw itself moving from level 4 to level 3 till level 1.
1 June 2020 South Africa saw itself moving to level 1 with the government introducing a host of new regulations with what need to be done by fellow South Africans and what they must avoid or not do.
On 27 December 2020, cases of Covid-19 recorded 1004413 which is in a million. This became another concern to the government and fellow citizens as far as the country saw itself in a second wave.
People may agree that South Africa is part of the global pooled procurement initiative co-ordinated by Covid-19 vaccine Global Access Facility, commonly known as COVAX. This doesn’t mean that South Africa will be out of lockdown as far as Solidarity Fund has made initial payment of R283 million.
South African government has been adviced that vaccines will be available by second quarter in 2021. This can be by 1 April to 30 June 2021. In the meant time South Africa is waiting for the arrival of vaccines, South Africa will be in lockdown.
If there will be more than 1.5 million of cases amid Covid-19, it will go back to higher levels but the economy might still be open with more precautions though.
Countries still in lockdown
🇱🇷 United States with 19,4M
🇮🇳 India with 10,2M
🇧🇷 Brazil with 7,5M
🇷🇺 Russia with 3,05M
🇫🇷 France with 2,56M

These 6 countries are not least as far as this is a global pandemic. The lucky country so far since March 2020 that has way less Covid-19 cases is West Sahara with 10 cases, 8 Recoveries and 1 death.
Probabilities
The whole 2021 the world can still see itself in the battle to go back to the old usual normal life. This will depend on cases and vaccines circulating.
Things to do in the meantime
- Wash hands with soup as frequent as possible.
- Wear a cloth mask all the time when in public.
- Sanitize your hands frequently after touching strange items even if they belong to you.
- Keep social distance.
This is not taken into consideration but will be so when a reckless recovered patient of Covid-19 is to tell the story. It’s is adviced to take care of yourself and your loved ones because Covid-19 is a serious respiratory infection that can cause death.
