SHARPEVILLE.- Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELM) D-License Coaching Course came to an end on Monday morning.
This five-day coaching course started at Rand Water in Vereeniging on 26 February and ended on Monday (March 4) at George Thabe Stadium in Sharpeville. This coaching course was attended by a total of twenty coaches with twelve of them coming from Emfuleni football clubs. The course was also attended by the NWU Vaal Sports Management students.
This course was conducted by SAFA National Coaching Instructors, Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka, Augustine Makalakalane, and Maestro Mathibela with Tsimo Motsepe and Master Zondo as the local coordinators of the course.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Motsepe said this is the sixth coaching course they have held as the Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) with a total of 168 coaches graduating. This coaching course ended with grassroots football where local schools’ children were given a free soccer lesson from the coaches.
“As Emfuleni Local Football Association, we are very grateful to host another successful D License Coaching Course. It is our responsibility to empower and educate our coaches for the development of our football. We want to thank all the stakeholders who contributed to the success of this coaching course. To our coaching instructors we want to thank you for a job well done,” concluded Motsepe.
