We’re now just a couple of weeks away from the January transfer window and we could see these EIGHT Kaizer Chiefs stars sent out on loan to save their careers.
The January transfer window is fast approaching and with it the likely exits, arrivals and loans in and out of Naturena and the rest of the PSL.
Therefore, Amakhosi fans can expect to see a couple of stars leave – some for good while others are likely to be loaned out. These EIGHT Chiefs stars who could be loaned out in January.
EIGHT CHIEFS STARS WHO COULD BE LOANED OUT
- KARABO MOLEFE
- THABANI DUBE
- HAPPY MASHIANE
- SABELO RADEBE
- PHATHUSHEDZO NANGE
- KAMOHELO MAHLATSI
- LEHLOGONOLO MAHLOU
- KELETSO SIFAMA
Molefe is one of the most promising talents coming out of the Chiefs academy. However, he is unlikely to earn much game time under Arthur Zwane given the return and rise to form of Amakhosi captain Itumeleng Khune. Furthermore, in his absence, Brandon Peterson is preferred in goal and than Bruce Bvuma. So, Sifama should find a club where he can regularly feature to showcase his talents as he is unlikely to play much, if at all, at Naturena as things stand.
The same applies for Dube who sits behind Zitha Kwinika, Siyabonga Ngezana, Edmilson Dove and Njabulo Ngcobo. He is also very talented but he needs to find a club where he can start more regularly.
SQUAD DEPTH MEANS GAMETIME IS HARD TO COME BY AT NATURENA
However, these aren’t the only players who find themselves well down a pecking order of depth and talent at Amakhosi. There are several players at Naturena who find themselves in this position.
Mashiane has fallen out of favour since he lost his cool in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League final against Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly. Thus, resulting in a red card that seemingly sent his Amakhosi career off too. Since than, he has hardly featured under Baxter, Zwane or Dillon Sheppard and this is unlikely to change given the form of Reeve Frosler, S’fiso Hlanti and new recruit Dillon Solomons and Dove, who is equally adapt at flourishing down the left.
In the midfield, Radebe, Nange, Mahlatsi and Matlou find themselves in the same boat. All these men are keeping the bench warm while watching Njabulo Blom, Yusuf Maart and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo flourish.
Furthermore, Zwane has made it clear that he will be giving Samkelo Zwane more gametime too. Meaning, it is in there best interest to find a new club if they are to further there careers instead of keeping the Naturena benches warm.
Finally, Sifama is another promising academy product but one that we are unlikely to see much of. This is because Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana is the new striker on every Amakhosi fans lips while Keagan Dolly and Kgaogelo Sekgota aren’t going anywhere any time soon. Even Khama Billiats position is in jeopardy as Zwane continues to hint at more gametime for Mduduzi Shabalala.
Therefore, all of these EIGHT players desperately need to find a new club. Atleast for the time being, if they are to get more minutes in this years DStv Premiership.
