Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting XIs for their DStv Premiership clash.
The Chilli Boys will host the DStv Premiership champions Sundowns at Nelson Mandela Stadium in a much-anticipated clash this evening.
It is a chance for Sundowns to return to the summit of the league table, with a victory tonight being enough to lift them above Richards Bay on goal difference.
But Daine Klate’s home team will be hoping to cause an upset, as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the table. But with it still early days, three points would see them jump to 12th.
However, history and form suggest that Sundowns are the more likely winners. In fact, Chippa has just won two of their 24 previous meetings, with Sundowns being winners on 14 occasions.
Masandawana also won their last encounter, earlier this year, while the corresponding fixture last season ended in a goalless draw.
Here’s how they line up:
Chippa United XI: tbc
Mamelodi Sundowns XI: Williams, Mudau, Modiba, De Reuck, Mvala, Jali, Mokoena, Maema, Zwane, Allende, Shalulile
Subs: Mweene, Morena, Maijula, Lakay, Kapinga, Saavedra, Ralani, Kekana, Mbule
