The agent of Stellenbosch duo Liam de Kock and Kyle Jurgens has quashed talk that they will be leaving the club before the window shuts.
Jurgens (19) and de Kock (22) have been on the fringes of the first team since starring in the DStv Diski Challenge squad, leading to their senior team promotions.
Having won the DDC title and the Premier League NXT Gen competition, they joined the conveyor belt of talents emerging within the Cape Winelands side.
But with first-team opportunities limited at present, the pair have been linked with loan moves, with de Kock already having spent some time at La Masia last season.
“For now nothing concrete but not entirely surprising given the potential of both players. Both are instrumental in the reserves winning the Diski and standout performers against the English Premier League reserve sides at the NXTGen series tourneys so they’re bound to attract interest,” representative Ashley Rasool tells iDiski Times.
“For now, there’s been no contact with anybody and when the ideal time presents itself we’ll sit with Stellies management and discuss their careers at the club. Young players require game-time, they’re no different.
“Let’s see but for now no movement.”
