ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule and 8thers charged with corruption to step aside within 30 days. Ace Magashule will use this time to consult the pasts leaders in going forth.
The order to step down within 30 days is final and failure to do so they will be then sent out of ANC.
There are about 16 accused, including businessman Edwin Sodi and former Manguang mayor Olly Mlamleli, are facing fraud, corruption and money laundering charges in relation to a failed 2014 asbestos project.
The mater to vacate the office on in 30 days might be a relief on Ace and others as they get the month in the office one more time. This come after on Sunday Ace supporters objected the suggestion that he be given just a one week to step aside.
President Cyril Ramaphosa made the ANC virtual address on Monday night and said that the NEC had affirmed its 2017 Nasrec conference resolution, along with the NEC’s own decision.
It was an unpleasant situation for Ace Magashule in the office as some in the NEC sought to oush gun out of the office within the next 7 days but he had a relief after he was give only 30 days.
This 30 days can help him to talk to the past leaders but president Cyril Ramaphosa in the address tgat there is no turning back on this decision.
The ANC welcomes the decision by the ANC secretary-general, comrade Ace Magashule, to use this time to seek the counsel of past leaders.
The ANC president has also called on members to rally around the NEC’s decision and avoid acts of ill-discipline.
