Orlando Pirates and Royal AM will be missing important players when these two sides collide at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Kabelo Dlamini, who has been key in the triumvirate attack with Thembinkosi Lorch – Dion Hotto and Monnapule Saleng, is suspended.
The other is Miguel Timm, who Pirates will have to rejig things in the central midfield role, as these players got their fourth yellow card when they beat TS Galaxy this past weekend.
There was no way Timm was going to miss another Derby against Kaizer Chiefs this coming weekend, saying after Pirates beat AmaZulu 1-0 in the MTN8 final last year, that it sucked that he missed the loss to Chiefs in the league match in October by watching from the stands.
Both of these players, as they will miss the game, will now be cleared when Pirates face Chiefs in a big Derby match at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
For Royal AM, tough central midfielder Siphesihle Msomi will be suspended against Pirates, as the KwaZulu-Natal club look to get back to winning ways after losing two matches on the bounce.
Other players who will be suspended in games on Wednesday are AmaZulu troublesome midfielder Siphesihle Maduna, when they host Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium, as he petulantly was sent off against Sekhukhune United on Saturday.
Chippa United will be without left-back Roland Pfumbidzai when they visit Richards Bay in Umlazi.
Edwin Gyimah will also be absent when Sekhukhune host TS Galaxy at Peter Mokaba Stadium (17:15). In the same game, Orebotse Mongae will be suspended for Galaxy.
