Real Madrid legend Marcelo’s son, Enzo Alves, has signed his first contract with the Spanish giants.
Enzo, 13, confirmed the news on his social media account, and this after he has been with Madrid’s academy teams since 2017.
According to the reports, Enzo is a highly rated centre-forward who plays for Real Madrid’s U14 side. He is represented by the agency founded by his father, Group Doze.
Marcelo left Madrid as a club legend at the end of last season, spending 15 years at the club, during which he won five Champions Leagues and six LaLiga titles, before joining Olympiakos in Greece.
Although he lost his place to Ferland Mendy, Marcelo still captained Madrid last term to a Champions League and LaLiga double, becoming the most decorated player in the club’s history with a total of 25 trophies won.
Marcelo arrived at the club 15 years ago to succeed his compatriot Roberto Carlos, who like Marcelo, also joined the Turkish side upon his Madrid departure.
The 34-year-old overtook Paco Gento – whose haul included six European Cups in the 1950s and ’60s – when he won his sixth La Liga titles, and took his tally to 25 trophies with a fifth Champions League success as the Spanish side beat Liverpool.
He went on to play in 545 appearances for Real – mostly as an attacking left-back but also as a winger – winning not just La Liga and the Champions League repeatedly, but four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, five Spanish Super Cups and the Copa del Rey twice.
