Riky Rick’s live-in lover, Bianca Jade Naidoo, who is demanding every house, car and other valuables that her late celebrity bae owned, has spoken about the last words she received from Riky Rick before he committed suicide.
Riky Rick’s death was 6 months back and his family shared a few words on how they cope without the Cotton Eater. In an interview with SABC News, Bianca Naidoo speaks on how she copes without Boss Zonke and what were his last words to her.
Bianca said some days are easier and some aren’t but her support structure and most importantly their kids, keep her going.
“Some days are easier than others. I manage with such an amazing support structure around me, and the kids also give me a lot of strength. The days when I’m not okay, I allow myself to be not okay.” she started off.
Speaking on how the kids are taking it, she said she was open and honest with them from the get go. She spoke openly with them on his death and they rarely ask any questions.
“I was very open from the beginning, from day one, about what happened to dad. I talk a lot with children, I listen a lot. Now they are comfortable expressing themselves and they both process in their own way. They know that if they have questions, they can come and ask and talk about it, and I think they’re both there. It’s just a matter of me being honest.” she continued.
The two most difficult days for Bianca is Riky’s birthday and Father’s Day.
She then revealed that the Sunday before he ended his life by committing suicide they spoke for hours and they spoke about life, their kids and almost everything.
“Last Sunday we talked for about five hours. The most beautiful conversation about everything, just life, us, the kids, how he felt… just everything. This conversation gave me a lot of peace because in this conversation any questions and doubts were expressed.
“I also spoke to Ricky early in the morning. I never thought or felt… because his last words in that conversation were, ‘I’m going home’ and ‘I love you,'”
Bianca concluded by saying she wants Riky to know that he is loved and missed, “He knew how much we loved him. I think that was very clear. I would say it over and over again. I think that is right, we just really miss him.”
Sunday World reports that Bianca apparently wants the rapper’s estate. The couple were never married legally but had plans to wed.
Riky Rick, who committed suicide at his Waterfall studio in February, died intestate, meaning he did not have a will at the time of his untimely death.
“Our common intention together with the deceased was to validate our marriage in accordance with civil law. As already stated above, although our families with the deceased are not traditional, they did meet during the course of our relationship to have marriage discussions and our families did approve of our relationship as that of husband and wife.”
“Furthermore, as already stated above, the deceased and I did intend to eventually marry, however, the deceased unfortunately passed before the solemnisation of our marriage became a reality, albeit we lived our joint lives as a married couple. I have therefore been advised that I do qualify within the category of a partner ‘in a permanent life partnership in which the partners have undertaken reciprocal duties of support’,” read the papers.
Before his death, the hip-hop mega star had secured endorsements from Vaseline, Kiwi, African Bank and Russian Bear. He reportedly owned a Ferrari and a Mercedes-benz AMG GTS coupé, among his fleet of vehicles.
He founded Cotton Club Records, a barber shop called Legends Barber and was the architect of the celebrity event called Cotton Fest, a celebration of South African youth culture that was attended by celebrities. Several blockbuster albums also generated millions of rand in royalties.
If Biance is appointed the executrix, she will work with lawyers to wind up his estate and become its beneficiary.
She said when she met the artist he was unemployed, had no source of income and was pursuing his career in music. She said she was the breadwinner of their family and supported him financially, including with groceries and petrol money.
“The deceased also used my vehicle and this included me paying for petrol as well as money he had to pay for studio time recording his music. My financial support for the deceased continued until his career endeavours eventually became a success during the year 2014.”
