Oh, The Ndlovus…. Our heart aches, beats, and pumps for you right now.
Stephanie and Hungani shared a deeply touching YouTube video on a few days ago, chronicling their heartbreaking pregnancy journey.
Following their miscarriage, the two actors would learned that having another baby proved challenging. After experiencing a deep loss they had to go through a healing process and then try other conception methods. “First we had to deal with healing from the miscarriage,” says Hungani while his wife, Stephanie nods and admits, “yes.”

Stephanie described the era as a dark hole and said it took a toll even on their marriage. The couple said that their pregnancy journey started soon after they miscarried in 2020. Going further they even considered IVF but later ditched the idea, allowing God’s time to take its course.
“Even during that process there was quite a back-and-forth communication with ourselves as well as the respective gynae at the time in terms of what’s a way forward, what do we want? How do we want to approach this and eventually we decided that we want to fall pregnant, and we were given options… which included many different things,” he adds.
“Ovulation tablets, injections that you can do at home or in hospital and then there’s IVF, a whole bunch of different things. So, we started with the process, we did tests and then we got the right medication and then we moved on to sort of two rounds or so of injections. And we kind of fell down – [Hungani] would say – a dark hole,” the couple shares.
Stephanie said the first trimester was not easy as she was sick and emotional, but the second and third trimesters were a bit easygoing. To think that most her pregnancy test revealed that she wasn’t pregnant. “I feel like it was God’s timing when the gynaecologist told me she thinks I’m pregnant, I then did two tests immediately and they came back positive, and immediately we rushed to the gynaecologist,” said Stephanie.
