Orlando Pirates and Cape Town Spurs have confirmed their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership fixture at Orlando Stadium.
A victory for fifth-placed Pirates this evening could see Jose Riveiro’s team move up to second on the log, and they will surely not be taking the game lightly, having lost to Spurs in Cape Town last year.
And a lot has changed at Spurs since that surprise result against Pirates, with Ernst Middendorp taking over, and while the Urban Warriors remain bottom of the table, they go into this fixture on the back of the two consecutive league wins.
Those victories over AmaZulu and TS Galaxy have moved Spurs within touching distance of 15th-placed Richards Bay.
Two players will be unavailable for the game due to suspension, with Pirates missing key defender Olisa Ndah, while Michael Morton, a former Pirates youth player, will be absent for Middendorp’s team.
Here is how they line-up:
Orlando Pirates XI:
Chaine, Monyane, Maela, Sibisi, Xoki, Makhaula, Mbatha, Kimvuidi, Mabasa, Mofokeng, Maswanganyi.
Subs: Ofori, Mthethwa, Lebitso, Timm, Saleng, Hotto, Dlamini, Kapinga, Lepasa.
Cape Town Spurs XI: Boshoff; Nkwali, Bern, Dortley, Kamagi; Moroole, Maphate, Butsaka, Velebayi; Phewa Cupido.
Subs: Dlamini, Ralani, Buchanan, Radiopane, Moosa, Mfecane, Gumde, Farmer, Maduna.
